Ally Bosman, DVM
Associate Veterinarian & Medical Director
Dr. Bosman graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bosman had initially been interested in a career in research and received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. After spending long hours in a laboratory, she decided to pursue a more fulfilling career where she would experience more variety in her day. Hence, her venture into veterinary medicine. While studying veterinary medicine, Dr. Bosman volunteered with the Animal Humane Society and worked at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center of Minnesota. Through her volunteer work, she helped many animals find their fur-ever homes. Her time at the emergency clinic taught her how to meet client and patient needs, work efficiently, and communicate effectively in a high-stress environment. Her compassion and understanding of the human-animal bond are invaluable skills.
Dr. Bosman joined the Lake Animal Hospital team in 2014 and in 2025 she became an owner. She is passionate about exotic pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs. Her professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, and surgery. Dr. Bosman is excited to have an opportunity to develop lasting relationships with pets and their non-furry families.
Dr. Bosman grew up in Hudson, WI. She married her high school sweetheart, Dan, and they currently reside in Stillwater, where they are slowly developing their own family ‘zoo’ at home. They were fortunate to adopt 2 rescue dogs named Surly and Indy, they also have an adorable rabbit named Shandy. In her time away from the clinic, Dr. Bosman enjoys caring for her two young boys, (Finn and Liam), traveling, spending time outdoors, cooking, and visiting her extended family.

Jill Hergenrader, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hergenrader joined Lake Animal Hospital in 2017. Prior to that, she owned a practice with her husband in the north eastern suburbs. Dr. Hergenrader is an Iowa native and obtained her Doctorate from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hergenrader enjoys internal medicine, preventative care, and soft tissue surgery. The opportunity she has to create partnerships with pet parents and care for their pets throughout their lives is her passion.
When not at Lake Animal Hospital, Dr. Hergenrader spends time with her husband Chris, who is also a DVM teaching animal science at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Biology teacher and basketball coach in the Mahtomedi school system—as well as her four children, three dogs, and a cat.

Kevin Roeser, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Like many veterinarians, Dr. Roeser first declared his career interests in elementary school, and his focus never wavered. After completing undergraduate coursework in Zoology and Human Biology at Michigan State University, he attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Roeser spent his first decade in practice at the same small animal practice that hired him as a kennel assistant during high school. Since then, he is excited to have moved “home” to Hugo to join the team at Lake Animal Hospital!
Dr. Roeser’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine, but he also loves the variety of cases that general practice provides. He enjoys building close relationships with both clients and patients and feels lucky to see pets through all stages of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Roeser enjoys training and competing with his two warmbloods, Karl and Billie. He also volunteers with The Rescue Pack, a group that helps to find local homes for stray and shelter dogs. Dr. Roeser and his husband share their home with Marla, a sassy Chihuahua-Terrier mix, and Leroy, a slobbery Bloodhound.

Beth Bruns, DVM cVMA
Associate Veterinarian
Beth Bruns, DVM cVMA, received her veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota in 2002. She has worked primarily at emergency and specialty hospitals, but has also been a General Practitioner, including at a cat only practice. Dr Bruns received advanced training in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture from Cura Core, earning her certification in 2018.
Professionally, Dr. Bruns is fascinated with all things feline and has a strong interest in pain management and internal medicine.
Dr. Bruns is married to Veterinary Anesthetist, Travis Bruns. She has a Belgian x Paint mare named Poppy, the love of her life. She practices Equine acupuncture in her off time through her private practice, Equilibrium Equine Acupuncture.
Her hobbies include riding dressage, spending time with her three cats: T.C., Stubby Nub kins, and Matilda “Tillie” and watching cooking and baking shows.

Fatima Kazmi, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kazmi grew up in Illinois and attended Augustana College for her undergraduate degrees in biology and religion. She graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She spent many years in a small animal practice in the Chicago suburbs and then in 2021 moved to Minnesota when she married her husband Furqan.
Dr. Kazmi’s enjoys dentistry, ophthalmology and feline medicine. She loves the bond she is able to create with clients and their furry family members. She strives to provide the best quality-of- life possible for our wonderful companions.
Dr. Kazmi and Furqan have four adorable cats named Nuka, Rocket, Hiccup and Zuri. In her free time, she loves photography (especially of wildlife), reading, hiking, camping and traveling.
Beth Clasen, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Beth Clasen grew up in the Twin Cities area and set the goal of becoming a veterinarian very early on in life. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine after completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota in Animal Science. She has spent her career in small animal medicine, mostly with dogs and cats but also some exotic pets. She is interested in ophthalmology, dermatology and preventative care. Keeping pets happy and healthy for as long as possible is her overall goal.
When not at work, she enjoys crafting, reading, dungeons and dragons and hanging out with her one child, Violet, and two cats, Clementine and Tickles.

Amy Kruchowski Phillips, DVM
Chief of Staff & Owner
Dr. Phillips completed her undergraduate work at St. Olaf College with a double major in the Classics and Ancient History. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
While in college, Dr. Phillips worked at the Science Museum of Minnesota in Youth Science Education. She credits her time at the Science Museum for developing her skills in communication and education. Well into her veterinary career a few years later, Dr. Phillips purchased Lake Animal Hospital from Dr. Brewer in August of 2008. Dr. Phillips has limited hours in clinic but enjoys working with pocket pets, surgery, and the business side of things.
Dr. Phillips has always had a love of animals. She grew up on a historic farmstead in Stillwater, where she still resides today and shares with her husband Jeremy. They spend much of their free time maintaining and renovating their 150-year-old home, where they also raise Baby Doll Sheep and Appaloosa Sport Horses. Dr. Phillips has many pets, including two dogs, a cat, two guinea pigs, and an ill-tempered African Bull Frog known fondly as Thor. In her spare time, she enjoys world travel, Dressage sidesaddle horseback riding, and music.

Shelly Langlie, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Langlie retired May 2025. She was a member of the Lake Animal Hospital team for over 35 years. We wish her all the best as she embarks on this next stage.
